Shiva, known as ‘The Destroyer’, represents the destruction of obstacles and transformation of the universe. Now a staple icon in Hinduism, Shiva was one of the earliest depicted deities by ancient civilizations found at the Indus Valley sites. Associated with music and the arts, this piece amalgamates classical imagery, such as the serpent around the neck, the crescent moon behind the head, with a modern-day twist.
